David Sneddon

David is a professional archaeologist with over 20 years experience working in the heritage sector throughout the UK. He has considerable experience in designing and implementing archaeological mitigation in advance of development and has directed and coordinated several research projects involving community outreach and the training of volunteers. He has researched and written Cultural Heritage chapters to contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments, is experienced in the production of post-excavation research designs and has overseen post-excavation analysis through to final publication and archiving. He co-directed the recently published Glenshee archaeology project and has a particular interest in field practice as applied to rural sites.

Steven Black

Steven is a professional archaeologist with considerable experience of large-scale linear route infrastructure projects. He has worked on developer led excavations across the UK ranging from motorways to gas pipelines in both urban and rural environments and served as Archaeological Clerk of Works on the 220km Beauly to Denny 400kV Overhead Powerline project from the beginning of the construction programme through to project completion. He has contributed to a variety of community heritage projects including volunteer training and school engagement. From 2012 he was lead supervisor on the Glenshee Archaeology Project.
